Christian Brothers' Schools and Ministries
The Christian Brothers have always been involved in different forms of outreach to others, all stemming from their concern for the most needy and powerless members of society – the “marginalised and disenfranchised”. These ministries are different expressions of the gift of Edmund Rice (see the link, About Edmund) in responding to Jesus appealing to him through the poor.
The various ministries shown here are all now staffed largely by people who are not Christian Brothers, but all operate under the aegis of Holy Spirit Province, and all are accountable to and closely in touch with the Brothers in the Province. A number of Brothers are still actively involved in different capacities with the different ministries.
