In Oceania, the Brothers are currently grouped into six administrative areas known as “Provinces”: St Francis Xavier Province in Queensland and the Northern Territory, St Mary's Province in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, St Patrick's Province in Victoria and Tasmania, St Joseph's Province in New Zealand, Holy Spirit Province in Western Australia and South Australia, and the Edmund Rice Region in Papua New Guinea.
These administrative arrangements will change late in 2007, when the Provinces named above will cease to exist, and all the Brothers in Australia will become part of the Province of Oceania.
